New Here

Welcome!

First Baptist Church is a group of people who are learning to love the Lord more
by coming to know Him better through His Word. As we are learning to love the
Lord, we love people. We invite everyone to attend one of our services and
encounter Him, learn of Him, and serve Him together with us.
Join us for a Sunday morning service!

What's the Worship Service Like?

On Sunday mornings and evenings we gather as a church family to fellowship with one another, to sing about and to the god we love, and to study God's Word in a verse by verse manner. The goal is to provide a place of limited distractions where worship can take place in each participant by making melody in his heart to the Lord, by sharing with others what the Lord is doing in your life, and by studying God's Word in a devotional way.

How long is the service?

Our services last one hour, from 11am-12pm.

What is the music like?

Our song service is a mix of contemporary praise songs and hymns.

What is the preaching/teaching like?

Our sermons are taught verse by verse, and we strive to be completely
Bible-centered in our teaching.

How can I get Plugged in?

The best way to get involved in our church body is to attend Sunday School on Sunday mornings. There is a time of fellowship and visiting, prayer requests and prayer, and a Bible lesson. To see where else you can get plugged in, visit our
Service Opportunities page!

How do I become a member?

Talk to our pastor, Lance Hartsfield! He will talk about salvation and baptism and what being a church member means.  If you are saved and have been baptized, you can walk the aisle during the invitation at the end of the service as a statement, letting the rest of the church body know that you want to join with them in membership.  If you aren’t saved/baptized, the pastor will lead you toward this, and if you do receive Christ and are baptized, you become a member.

What do you have for my kids?

We have Sunday School classes for all ages at 10am every Sunday mornings. On Wednesday evenings we have B.A.M (Bible, Activity, Music) for an hour where the children gather for a time of fun. You can read more about our children's ministries by visiting our Connect Page!

What should I wear?

The pastor is usually the only man wearing a suit.  Most men wear jeans and collared shirt on Sunday mornings.  Ladies mostly wear slacks, but some do wear skirt or dress.  Ladies do not usually wear jeans on Sunday mornings.
The other services are very casual!

What should I do when I get there?

Come on in and find a seat (not in the back), join us and let us meet you! Don’t leave too soon so that our family can welcome you.  We all want the opportunity to meet you. If you have children, find a member and they will help get you to the nursery!
