Dear Church Family,
Can you believe it? School is about to be out! It amazes me how quickly the months click by. What a clear reminder of what we are taught throughout Scripture: Life is like a vapor, here today and gone tomorrow. What's more, everyone can see the days disappearing behind us. We can't miss it! So what should our response be? Certainly part of our response ought to be to plan for eternity. If this life is whisking by so quickly we can barely enjoy it, wisdom dictates that we plan for what will last for all eternity. One aspect of that preparation is to intentionally pursue a deepening relationship with our Lord. We can do that by spending time with Him in our own private, quiet time in His Word and in prayer. But we can also develop our relationship with Him by engaging in the Bible studies, prayer meetings, and worship services here with God's people. These activities ought to be priorities in our daily schedules and on our calendars.
But we can also prepare for eternity by talking to others about Him. Knowing the temporary nature of this life, it would be awfully self-centered to keep the truth to ourselves! Making the most of every opportunity, we ought to live and speak the truth about God and eternity! I would encourage you to engage! Faithfully participate with God's people and live and speak the truth to those who do not know!
In His Grip,
